PRODUCTION ASSISTANT    (NON-AUTOMOTIVE)     (LEAMINGTON)

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for an experienced non-automotive Production Assistant, in the Leamington area. Experience working with in a greenhouse, or organics and raw materials required. Must have a valid drivers license and your own transportation

• TRAINING FIRST 3 MONTHS: Steady day shift 7 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday

• Shift work - rotating days/afternoons after training completed

• Day Shift 4 am - 1 pm, Afternoon Shift 1 pm - 10 pm

• Work every other Saturday 4 am to 1 pm

• Every other Sunday, 1 hour walk through

• On call one week on, one week off

• 3 weeks vacation first year entitlement

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

• 5 years production assistant experience in a greenhouse, organics/relatable position

• Must work in all extreme weather conditions and high decibel levels of dust, dirt, etc

• Monitor production processes such as raw materials quality control

• receiving of organics, producing and shipment of the final product

• Control the operation of organic processing equipment and testing

• Identify maintenance, performance issues and troubleshooting

• Handle environmental damage caused by the plant

• Leadership skills a definite asset for this role

• Perform testing as required (FOSTAC, inputs, etc.)

• Assist with improving policies and procedures

• Industry-specific ministry compliance an asset

• Having an electrical and IT background would be ideal

• Health and safety experience in an industrial environment

• Repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

​

• Minimum high school diploma

• First Aid Level 1 Certification a huge asset

 

HOURLY PAY RANGE:

​

• $25 - $30/hr to start depending on experience
