COST ESTIMATOR JOB OPPORTUNITY

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has a direct hire Cost Estimator/Projection position, for someone experienced estimating within an automotive manufacturing environment, in the Moldmaking industry, in Windsor/Essex.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS;

​

• 4+ years experience in a Cost Estimator/ Projection relatable position

• Manage RFQs from receipt to final quotation, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and supplier pricing

• Analyze and compare supplier quotes to determine best value for mold builds

• Interpret blueprints and 3D data to support estimating, feasibility, and job costing

• Maintain and update cost databases, including unit costs, labor rates, and productivity factors

• Ensure that expenditures stay within budget limits

• Extensive job costing analysis and forecasting experience required

• Streamline and enhance processes related to project estimation, contract awarding and financial tracking 

• Collaborate with internal management team to support quoting, budgeting, and job setup in Visual

• Support continuous improvement by enhancing estimating consistency, job costing analysis, and system processes

• Strong time management skills, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills

• Proficient using Visual, Microsoft Office Suite and Viewing software

• MUST have a valid drivers license and your own transportation

• ​Non-unionized position

• Strong blueprint reading skills required

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

​

• Diploma or relatable education in Cost Estimating or Projection

 

SALARY:

​

• $65,000 - $75,000/year DOE

​
