JUNIOR FABRICATION APPRENTICE

Platinum Direct Hire has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for a Junior Fabrication Apprentice position in Windsor/Essex. MUST have a valid drivers license and your own transportation.

 

BENEFITS AND OTHER DETAILS:

​

• Steady day shift 7 am - 4 pm to start

• After training period, hours will be 7 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday

• 7 am to 12 pm on Saturdays

• Benefits; $3000 towards any medical expenses, starts after 90 days

• Growth opportunities into welding, fabrication and manual machining

 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

• Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment required

• Experience in a fabrication environment a definite plus

• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience (fabrication experience preferred)

• Operate band saws to cut steel according to cut lists

• Debur, prep parts, and clean welding spatter

• Chamfer and hand-tap holes after machining

• Use various hand tools and power tools

• Pick up and deliver parts using a company vehicle

• Valid driver’s license, own transportation, and ability to lift 50–100 lbs required

• Other general shop duties as required

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 high school diploma

 

PAY RANGE:

​

• $18 - $21/hr Depending on experience
