BAND SAW OPERATOR

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. is currently recruiting a Band Saw Operator for a well-established manufacturing company in the Windsor / Essex region. If you have experience working in a steel service center, fabrication shop, or metal manufacturing environment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

• Minimum 2 years experience cutting steel preferred

• Experience in a fabrication shop, steel warehouse or metal manufacturing environment an asset

• Set up and operate saws to cut steel to specific dimensions

• Able to transfer steel to machine with overhead crane

• Able to read and interpret blueprints

• Forklift and crane certification a definite asset

• MUST have a valid drivers license and your own insurance

• MUST be able to read a tape measure and good math skills

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum High school diploma required

 

HOURLY RANGE:

• $20 per hour to start, increase after 90 days
