Machinist Apprentice

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. is currently hiring a Machinist Apprentice for a manufacturing facility the Windsor/Essex area. The role is ideal for someone early in their machining career, who wants hands-on experience, steady hours, and long-term growth. MUST have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

• 1-2 years CNC or precision metal cutting experience preferred

• Assist with setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines

• Run Toshiba CNC machines (training provided if needed)

• Work with TOSNUC controls (experience is an asset)

• CNC Programming experience preferred

• Make basic program edits and learn CNC programming

• Use precision measuring tools

• Read and interpret blueprints and job travelers

• MasterCam software experience a plus

• Must have a valid drivers license and your own transportation

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum High school diploma

• Currently enrolled in or completed a machinist or trade school program

 

HOURLY PAY:

​

• Pays up to $22 - $26/hr DOE
