Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Purchaser in the Windsor/Essex area. Experience working in the tool and mold industry is preferred. MUST have a valid driver's license adn your own transportation, as customer visits will be required.

EMPLOYMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

​

• 2-5+ years experience in a Purchasing or relatable role

• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and services

• required for mold manufacturing

• Identify and evaluate new suppliers while maintaining relationships with existing vendors

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage inventory levels and avoid production delays

• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery

• Issue purchase orders and verify order accuracy

• Knowledge of mold components, materials, and machining processes

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation

• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite and relatable ERP systems

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

​

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field

• Certification in Supply Chain Management is an asset

 

SALARY RANGE:

​

• DOE Junior level (2-3 years exp)

• DOE Intermediate level (4+ years exp)
