PLANT MAINTENANCE/ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (LEAMINGTON)

 

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an immediate opening for a Plant Maintenance/Electrical Technician, in Leamington, Ontario. Experience in an agricultural, organics or bioenergy environment a huge asset. MUST have a valid drivers license and your own transportation.

• After probation Swing shifts required tentatively 4 am - 1 pm and 12 pm - 8 pm

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

• 3+ years experience with equipment maintenance and metal fabrication

• 3+ years electrical knowledge and experience required

• Electrical knowledge including troubleshooting and repairing systems from

• 24 VDC/VAC to 575VAC

• Able to program VFD

• PLC programming; minor programming, troubleshooting and designing user screens

• Troubleshoot and install machinery and resolve mechanical issues

• Proficient using Microsoft Word Excel and OEM programs

• Proficient reading mechanical and electrical blueprints

• Able to read wiring diagrams

• Maintain and repair systems and plant buildings

• Experience using hand tools, power tools and electric meters

• Repair electric and pneumatic systems, gearboxes and bearing replacement

• Maintain records of scheduled maintenance

• Complete work orders, requisitions and workplace inspections

• Identify safety concerns and resolve immediately

• Mechanically inclined and have your own tools

• Forklift and Crane Certification

• Work in all weather conditions

• MUST have your own tools

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

​

• Minimum High School Diploma

• Electrical Techniques Diploma plus 3 years experience preferred

 

HOURLY RANGE:

• $30/hr to start
