LEADHAND WELDER/FITTER

​

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has a Leadhand Welder/Fitter role, in Windsor/Essex, who is a working team leader responsible for performing and coordinating welding and fabrication tasks, while providing guidance, training, and support to welders and fitters on the shop floor. MUST have strong blueprint reading skills, a valid drivers’ license, your own transportation. and extensive custom fabrication experience.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

• 4+ years recent Welder Fitter experience preferred

• Current CWB Certification a definite asset

• Able to weld and fit metal parts and structures together

• Perform high-quality MIG welding and fabrication with precision

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise a few employees

• Knowledge of rigging techniques and ductwork installation

• Onboarding and evaluating new hires

• Experience using precision measuring instrucments

• Strong blueprint reading skills

• MUST have solid custom fabrication experience

• Forklift and Crane Certification an asset

 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• CWB Certification or other Welding Credentials

 

HOURLY PAY:

​

• Pay is $26 - $30/hr DOE
