MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer, in the Windsor/Essex area, who must have a P.Eng. Designation in Ontario, and possess a strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly practices and procedures. You MUST have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, have a valid drivers’ license, your own transportation and able to work from the company office.

• Steady day shift available 8 am - 430 pm Monday to Friday

• Overtime required as needed - start time could be 7 am and extended to 5:30 pm

• Monday to Thursday and until 4:30 pm on Fridays

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with strong

• project collaboration skills

• Conduct research and feasibility studies for mechanical systems and component

• Plan and manage projects; prepare estimates, reports, and design specifications

• Design mechanical equipment, components, and systems

• Analyze mechanical dynamics and vibrations

• Oversee installation, modification, and commissioning at industrial or construction sites

• Investigate equipment failures and maintenance issues

• Supervise and review work from engineers, technologists, and technicians

• Perform design calculations ensuring safety and functionality

• Review, certify, and stamp engineering drawings and documents

• Create detailed 2D/3D CAD models and drawings per industry and customer standards

• Support site visits to verify existing conditions and assist in layout design and integration

• Document communication, studies, and project updates effectively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required

• Position is working from the company office ​

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

​

• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Must have a P.Eng. designation and licensed within Ontario

 

HOURLY PAY:

​

• $38 to $58/hr Depending on experience
