STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Structural Engineer, in the Windsor/Essex area. You MUST have a Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, have a valid drivers’ license, your own transportation and able to work from the company office.

Steady day shift available 8 am - 430 pm Monday to Friday

Overtime required as needed - start time could be 7 am and extended to 5:30 pm

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Engineer

Collaborate with clients and project teams to define scope and requirements
-
Design structural supports and steel fabrications for major infrastructure projects
-
Plan, design and management of construction and repair projects to powerhouses, bridges, construction and other structures
-
Evaluate materials, conduct field services and ensure complaince
-
Review surveys, civil designs, and approve construction materials
-
Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments, and field data analysis
-
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory standards
-
Supervise and support engineers, technologists, and technicians
-
Prepare, review, and certify engineering drawings, calculations, and contract documents
-
Create and edit detailed CAD drawings (2D/3D) per project and industry standards
-
Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and support design development
-
Maintain accurate project documentation and communication records
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is an asset
-
Strong knowledge of construction methods and structural systems
-
Must possess an understanding of manufacturing and assembly practices and procedures

Excellent communication and project coordination skill

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

University Degree in Structural Engineering

Must be currently licensed with the regulatory authority within Ontario
HOURLY PAY:
​
-
$38 to $58/hr Depending on experience​
