QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR​

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector, to support the precision machining operations, in a unique fabrication and machining manufacturing environment, in the Windsor/Essex area. Must have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

  • 4 years in a Quality Control Inspection role, in a regulated manufacturing environment

  • Experience working in a machining, fabrication or assembly environment required

  • Perform receiving, in-process, final, and First Article Inspections (FAI) on machined and fabricated components  

  • Program, operate, and interpret results from Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precise dimensional verification

  • Proficient using precision measuring instruments; micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc

  • A background in aerospace, nuclear or other regulated environment an asset

  • Complete accurate inspection reports, support customer turnover packages, and maintain thorough quality documentation.

  • Identify, report, and document non-conformances, while actively assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.​

  • Able read manufacturing specs, engineering drawings and advanced GD&T

  • Experience using digital quality tracking systems

  • Assist with both external and internal audits

  • Communicate with suppliers and customers on inspection results

  • Ensure all work meets ISO 9001, CSA and ASME QSC standards

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum High School Diploma required

  • College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Technology is highly preferred

  • Specialized certificates in Quality Assurance or Quality Management a definite asset

 

HOURLY RANGE:

 

  • Pays $23 - $34/hr Depending on experience
