PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (LEAMINGTON)

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an immediate opening for a Plant Maintenance Technician, with some relatable millwright skills in Leamington, Ontario. Experience in an agricultural, organics or greenhouse environment a huge asset. Must have a valid drivers license and your own transportation.

• Training Day shift 7 am - 5 pm

• After probation Swing shifts required tentatively 4 am - 1 pm and 1 pm - 8 pm

• Every other weekend or partial weekend off

• 40-50 hours/week

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

​

• 5 years experience with equipment maintenance and metal fabrication

• Able to troubleshoot and install machinery and resolve mechanical issues

• Maintain and repair systems and plant buildings

• Experience using hand tools, power tools and electric meters

• Able to repair electric and pneumatic systems, gearboxes and bearing replacement

• Experience with computer servers and PLC control systems

• Industrial electrical experience required

• Must maintain records of scheduled maintenance

• Complete work orders, requisitions and workplace inspections

• Able to identify safety concerns and resolve immediately

• Must be mechanically inclined and have your own tools

• Forklift and Crane Certification required

• Strong blueprint reading skills

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum High School Diploma

• Millwright experience/ certification a definite asset

 

HOURLY RANGE:

​

• $27/hr to start
