ACCOUNTING & JOB COSTING SPECIALIST

Platinum Direct Hire is seeking an experienced Accounting & Job Costing Specialist with a strong background in manufacturing in Windsor/Essex. This role combines full cycle accounting with detailed job costing and financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and support for management decisions.

EMPLOYMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

​

  • Manage full cycle accounting: A/P, A/R, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.

  • Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and government filings (HST, WSIB, EHT, etc.).

  • Maintain and monitor job costing records, ensuring accurate allocation of labor, materials, and overhead.

  • Analyze cost variances, prepare cost reports, and present findings to management.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit preparation.

  • Partner with operations to track budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • MUST have a valid driver's license and own transportation

  • Job will be 50% job costing, 50% accounting duties

  • MUST be comfortable working from the front reception desk

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • MUST have knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and compliance requirements

 

PAY RANGE:

​

  • Up to $30/hr DOE
