ACCOUNTING & JOB COSTING SPECIALIST

Platinum Direct Hire is seeking an experienced Accounting & Job Costing Specialist with a strong background in manufacturing in Windsor/Essex. This role combines full cycle accounting with detailed job costing and financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and support for management decisions.

EMPLOYMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage full cycle accounting: A/P, A/R, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.

Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and government filings (HST, WSIB, EHT, etc.).

Maintain and monitor job costing records, ensuring accurate allocation of labor, materials, and overhead.

Analyze cost variances, prepare cost reports, and present findings to management.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit preparation.

Partner with operations to track budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

MUST have a valid driver's license and own transportation

Job will be 50% job costing, 50% accounting duties

MUST be comfortable working from the front reception desk
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

MUST have knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and compliance requirements
PAY RANGE:

Up to $30/hr DOE
